Notify Me! meters three things by plan: alerts sent, pre-orders and wishlist actions. SMART has no plans to meter. Its one cap is a daily limit on back in stock emails that grows with the store, and pre-order emails are never capped.

When SMART Preorder fits better
- Deposits are the reason you want a pre-order app. Notify Me!'s partial payments guide puts them on Standard ($39.90/mo) and above. SMART takes deposits on every store and charges the balance itself, with retries (take a deposit, charge the balance later).
- You expect more than a handful of pre-orders. Notify Me!'s Lite plan includes 5, and paid plans add a per-pre-order price past their allowance. SMART doesn't count pre-orders.
- Pre-orders should only show in some countries. Notify Me!'s pricing page lists market support for pre-orders on Notify Me Plus ($499.99/mo). In SMART, Specific markets is a campaign setting (markets and locations).
- You also want to control checkout payment methods, for example rename one or move it to the top, from the same app (sort and rename payment methods).
When Notify Me! fits better
- Shoppers should hear about a restock by text or push, not only email. Notify Me! sends restock alerts by email, SMS and push, and its pricing page also prices WhatsApp. SMART's restock alerts go out by email.
- You want a wishlist and a low stock counter. Notify Me!'s listing describes a guest wishlist on home, collection and product pages with customer account extensions, and an "only X left" low stock counter. SMART has neither.
- Staff sign customers up in a physical store. Notify Me!'s Shopify POS guide covers back in stock signups at the register. SMART has no POS features.
- You connect tools by API or AI agent. Notify Me!'s listing describes connecting an AI agent to its API and MCP, integrated with Sidekick, and lists Nosto, PushOwl, Omnisend and Mailchimp among its integrations.
Back in stock in SMART, in short
- Notify me shows on sold-out product pages and, if you turn it on, on collection, home and search cards (set up Notify me).
- One automatic email per signup when the variant is back, after a Minimum quantity you set; an optional reminder goes a day later if the shopper hasn't bought (restock alert emails).
- An optional marketing consent checkbox; with Klaviyo connected, consenting signups join the list you pick and Klaviyo gets signup and alert events.
- Send, Resend, Import CSV and Export CSV on the Signups tab (waitlist signups).
